The construction of DC relay

Dc relay is an electronic switching device based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, which generates a magnetic field through the DC exciting coil and drives the contact to close or break, so as to control the high voltage and high current DC circuit. Its core functions include isolation protection, signal amplification, delay control, etc., which is widely used in power system, industrial automation, automotive electronics and other fields.

    Structure composition:

    Electromagnetic coil: the wire is wound on the iron core, and the magnetic field is generated after the electricity, which drives the armature action.
    Contact system: including normally open (NO), normally closed (NC) and convertible contacts (CO), made of conductive materials, through the armature movement to achieve circuit on-off.
    Auxiliary components: such as spring (for reset), iron core (magnetic conductivity), housing (protection), etc., to improve stability and life.
    How it works:

    Suction state: the coil is energized → the core is magnetized → the armature is attracted → the contact is closed and the circuit is switched on.
    Disconnected state: After power off, the magnetic field disappears → the spring returns → the contact is separated, and the circuit is disconnected.

     

    Classification method:

    By current type: low power (microelectronics, communication equipment) and high power (power systems, industrial equipment).
    By contact type: Single pole single throw (SPST), double pole double throw (DPDT), etc.
    By function: time relay (delay control), thermal relay (temperature protection), solid state relay (no contact, long life).
